What is Beatbox?
Beatbox is a premium, experiential karaoke and event space in New York City’s West Village. Located at 248 W 14th Street, Beatbox features private rooms, accessible and competitive karaoke games, top-notch food & drinks, and an experience that feels immersive and unique.
What makes Beatbox different from other karaoke bars in NYC?
Beatbox is a premium karaoke experience built around quality. Every room has built-in autotune and professional vocal effects so everyone sounds studio-quality. The rooms feature floor-to-ceiling LED video walls, a premium sound system, and table service for food and cocktails. Three interactive game modes add variety. Every booking is a private, soundproof room for your group only.
What are Beatbox's hours?
Beatbox is open Wednesday and Thursday from 6 PM to 12am. Friday and Saturday from 6 PM to 2 AM, and Sunday from 4 PM to 12am. We are closed Monday and Tuesday. Hours may vary on holidays. Check playbeatbox.com or call 917-748-5032 for updates.

Where is Beatbox located?
Beatbox is at 248 W 14th Street in the West Village, on the corner of 14th Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. We are a one-minute walk from the L train (8th Ave) and A/C/E (14th St), or four minutes from the 1/2/3 (14th St). Near the Meatpacking District.
The Experience
How does the autotune work?
Every room at Beatbox has built-in autotune and vocal effects at the tap of a button. Slide on autotune and your voice is pitch-corrected in real time. Additional effects include chorus, helium vibrato, scifi, robot, and pitch shift. These are the same types of effects used in professional recording studios, and they work across all three game modes.
What are the game modes?
Beatbox has three interactive game modes. On Key scores your pitch accuracy in real time. Lyrical Genius drops the lyrics and tests your memory. Freestyle is open mic with all vocal effects unlocked. Switch between modes anytime. What songs are available at Beatbox?
The Beatbox catalog features 65,000+ songs across every genre: pop, hip-hop, classic rock, r&b, broadway, latin, k-pop, and more. Our full catalog can be found here.
Browse and search from the touchscreen in your room. We are always adding songs so if you don’t see a song you want, let us know—the catalog is updated regularly.
What do the karaoke rooms look like?
Every room features floor-to-ceiling LED video walls, a professional sound system, lounge seating, four wireless mics, built-in autotune and vocal effects, a touchscreen for song selection, and a service button for food and drink orders. Our private rooms can accommodate anywhere from 6 to 60 guests. Please visit our about page for more information about our rooms and to see photos.
Is Beatbox good for a birthday party?
Absolutely. A private room gives you your own space with LED visuals, great sound, autotune that makes you both sound incredible, and cocktails delivered to the room. Rooms for two start at $220 for two hours. It’s one of the most popular date night spots in the West Village.
How big is your karaoke catalog?
We have over 60,000 songs and the catalog is updated regularly. Songs are available in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and French.
Pricing & Reservations
How much does Beatbox cost?
Private rooms rentals start at $220 per hour with a two-hour booking minimum and include access to all game modes. Party packages (required for groups of 10+) start at $30 per person and include various food and beverage selections. The lounge is open to walk-ins with no cover charge.
How do I make a reservation?
Book online at playbeatbox.com/make-a-reservation for groups up to 20. For private events and larger groups (20+), email [email protected]. We recommend booking a few days ahead, especially for weekends.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Changes and cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged to the card on file. Email [email protected] to modify a booking.
I'm running late. What should I do?
Call or text 917-748-5032 as soon as possible. We’ll hold your room, but we can’t guarantee your session end time will be extended. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to check in at the Bb lounge.
Can I walk in without a reservation?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome in the lounge for food and cocktails with no cover. We accept walk-ins for private rooms when available, however reservations are strongly encouraged as the rooms sell out often, especially weekends. Book ahead at playbeatbox.com/make-a-reservation.
Food & Drinks
Does Beatbox serve food and drinks?
Yes. Beatbox offers a full bar with craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options. The food menu features shareable plates and bites for group dining. Order directly to your room via table service or feel free to order in the lounge.
Do you have bottle service?
No, we do not offer bottle service.
Can I bring my own food or cake?
Outside food is not permitted. You’re welcome to bring a birthday cake or dessert for special occasions. We charge a $35 cake cutting fee. We also are happy to provide a birthday cake for you. Email [email protected] in advance for cake or special setup requests.

How do the party packages work?
Packages are for groups of 10+. Starting at $30 per person, they include a private room, food, drinks, and all game modes with autotune. The package fee is in addition to the room reservation. Can I host a corporate event at Beatbox?
Yes. Beatbox hosts team building nights, holiday parties, client events, launches, and happy hours. The autotune and game modes create fun competition accessible for everyone without requiring singing talent or too much liquid courage for a work event. Do you host bachelor/bachelorette parties?
Yes! Beatbox is a great space to host a bachelor or bachelorette party. With private rooms just for your group, Beatbox is a fun and unique activity to belt the best love anthems and get your wedding playlist and dance moves ready. Can I book Beatbox for a birthday party?

Can I book Beatbox for a kids birthday party?
Absolutely. We love hosting kids’ birthdays and have hosted quite a few Kpop demon hunters themed events! We offer a party hosts, decor, birthday cakes, candy bars, and prizes.
We strongly encourage a party host for kids under 10. Our party host gets the game going with fun music ice breakers and then manages the song queue to ensure everyone has a chance to sing. Getting Here & Logistics
Do I need to bring an ID?
Beatbox is 21+ after 7 PM. Valid photo ID required at the door. Under 21 welcome before 7 PM for family events, kids’ birthdays, and group activities.
Is there a dress code?
No strict dress code. Smart casual recommended.
Is Beatbox wheelchair accessible?

Is there parking near Beatbox?
No dedicated parking. Nearby garages include Icon Parking (260 W 14th St) and SP+ Parking (8th Ave). We recommend the subway (L, A/C/E, or 1/2/3 to 14th St) or rideshare. Beatbox is at 14th and 8th Ave.
